Kimberly
Saw a person on Another Board complaining about this being another surname turned girl's name.
Again, that's the problem with the educated, elitist systemic bias in many parts of internet - some posters misunderstand and think that *most* people share the views of the intellectual elite in things whereas in reality they don't.
As for Kimberly, it's been a girl's name for so many decades that i would challenge the intellectuals to find many modern "average" people who know it was once a surname.

or, more to the point ...
You'll have a hard time finding a person with the surname Kimberly. I know I never have, though I know they must be out there. Maybe the only one most people will ever come across is whoever lent their name to Kimberley-Clark.
You'd be lucky if you found many people who know it's even a place name.

Hi !!!
Mmm...
So you are coplaining about people who dislike some names because they were originally surnames?
Or you want to defend only names that despite that have a long history as names?
Anyway...
Kimberly is nice as given name. It is pretty and feminine! I like it.
