Easy, Rebecca (m)
I far prefer Rebecca. No contest.Rebecca has always been one of my favorite names. And yes, I even like Becky, BtNers! I can certainly see the affinity between them that you refer to, but I like Rebecca much more than Rachel. It just comes down to sound. The "Rach" part of Rachel is quite harsh. I don't dislike Rachel, but I don't love it either, and you could say I love Rebecca. However, its popularity at the time I was having children put it out of contention, although it took my husband a while to realize that. He was still saying Rebecca was a possibility when I was pregnant with our daughter, when I'd already made my mind up that it wasn't.Rebecca makes me think of a pretty dark-haired farm girl in a blue gingham dress, who is voluptuous but innocent. Rachel makes me think of a woman in her thirties who has long light brown hair and a prematurely faded beauty.
