Ianthe
It took longer than I would have expected, but I've finally become smitten with Ianthe. I love the balance achieved between the airy "Ia" beginning and the grounded "the" ending, and both the meaning and the classical association are favorable. What does everyone think? For the record, I'm pronouncing it "eye-ANN-thee."Here are some combos:Ianthe Beatrice / Beatrix
Ianthe Bernadette
Ianthe Bernadine
Ianthe Beryl
Ianthe Callisto
Ianthe Caroline
Ianthe Celandine
Ianthe Celestine
Ianthe Claudia
Ianthe Clementine

Ianthe Julia
Ianthe Lillian
Ianthe Lydia
Ianthe Miriam

You do know the poem, right? Walter Savage Landor (and what a name that is!):
From you, Ianthe, little troubles pass
Like little ripples down a sunny river;
Your pleasures spring like daisies in the grass,
Cut down, and up again as blithe as ever.I love Ianthe Beatrice, Ianthe Caroline, Ianthe Gwendolen, Ianthe Margaret and Ianthe Phyllida best of all, but actually they're all good. Just about anything would be, except Nevaeh and Tiffany!

Hi !!!I much prefer the Late Latin variant Violante (vyoh-LAHN-teh). It was one of my favourite names when I was a teenager because it has a very Medieval and aristocratic vibe here. Also the pronounciation that you said is terrible (I know it is normal there but I dislike). I would pronounce it YAHN-teh.By the way...
With your pr. these are okIanthe Caroline
Ianthe Julia
Ianthe Phyllida
Ianthe Imogen
