Friend BA
My friend Amir and his wife Yasmin have welcomed their first child, a girl, today.
Her name is Zaida Noor. Both names are honoring - Zaida honors Amir's grandmother while Noor honors one of Yasmin's aunts.
(Both Amir and his wife are Muslims, although neither of them are particularly devout. Amir is full-blooded Lebanese while Yasmin is three-quarters Lebanese and one-quarter Syrian.)
WDYT?

It's a beautiful name. I especially like Noor, which is one of my goddaughter's middle names too (different spelling though)
Wowza, that is a gorgeous name.
It is a lovely combination both names go beautifully together and the meaning of the entire name is fantastic. I like Zaida never thought about it before and Noor is absolutely beautiful.

Absolutely gorgeous. Two stunning names.
I like the sound of Zaida but not the meaning, and I like the meaning of Noor but not the sound, so I think it's a great combo (as Pink Princess pointed out, the combined meaning "to increase light" is beautiful). I think it's nice that both names are honoring as well.
I like the fact her fn and mn combined means, "To increase light", that's just beautiful. The sound of the name is quite nice too. My DH is Lebanese / Syrian also!
I really like it, especially Noor.
