Adina.
I've started to really like the name. Thoughts? Sister would be Miriam.

I think it's a really pretty name
Way too religious and Jewish sounding.
It doesn't appeal to me. It sounds like a made up name, a combination of popular sounds. I know it isn't but it feels like a newly invented made up name to me. There are too many names that sound similar to it, Adina just doesn't stick out in any way. It's a name I would easily forget. Alina is really common here so they would always get mixed up. I have also met several girls named Anita, Anina, Annina and Dina. Not to mention several girls named Tina, Gina, Nina, Lena, Lina and Ina. But most of them have more personality to me than Adina.
Because of the A that has been tacked on it sounds less distinctive than any of the -ina names and like a hybrid of common sounds. It's kind of like naming a girl Amelie or Emery these days, the names themselves might not be so common but they sound like a combination of Emily and Avery or Emma and Avery and are close to other common names in rhythym and sound such as Amelia.
So as you can see, I am not a fan of Adina. But it isn't horrible or anything so if you like it go for it! I love love love Miriam, by the way. Beautiful name! And very distinctive in sound. I love it.

I think Adina and Miriam would work well as siblings.
I like Adina but I don't quite love it. It is just slightly more simple than I would like, it's odd that it feels so to the point since it is three syllables. Maybe it's because more than half of the name when written is -ina so it doesn't look complex but it is in sound.
Another reason I don't quite love it is I have no personal associations with it because I have never met anyone before with the name Adina, or watched or read anything with an Adina. With most of my favorite names I knew a person I liked with the name, loved a character with the name, or have some other positive association with the name. Sometimes I just love a name but usually I also have a multiple faceted history with my favorite names.
I definitely strongly like Adina, it has some magic to it but it also has an ancient salt of the earth feel like Miriam. Adina feels like fire and earth, Miriam feels like air and earth. Adina seems like an Aries or Capricorn name, Miriam feels like an Aquarius name or possibly Virgo.

It's cute, and does go well with Miriam, but I prefer Adira. I'm not the biggest fan of the 'eena' sound.

I like Adina a lot, though it's really, really Jewish with Miriam. It's not my favorite Hebrew name but it's lovely and very wearable.
I've started to like it, too...although it's not even on my long list yet. lol but it's pretty!
I love this name! Very pretty.
