I love Clara as CLAH-ruh and Viola as Vee-OH-luh. I also think Matilda is really lovely too. I'm not sure about Italy, but Clara is quite popular where I live (England), so Viola would be my choice.

I love Clara. It's one of my favorites. I would definitely go with Clara! I also like Matilda, it's elegant and strong. But Matilde is so common in Italy, I bet she will have to say all of the time 'No, not Matilde, Matilda!'. Viola is nice but I only really love the English pronunciation of VY-o-la (as in Violet with an A). In Italy it is very overused for babies. I would go with Clara!

Hi !!!Yes you are right!
A Matilda always has to say that because Matilde is the usual variant.Viola as VY-o-lah is...horrible!
Well..I say that because in Italian there is a illness called vaiolo (smallpox) which has the same pronounciation but with an o instead of an a TT

Oh :( :( but is it said as VY-o-lo or vy-O-lo? Because I like VY-o-la but not vy-O-la.
