All I can think of is the show Friends, and I think a lot of people can only think of Friends as well. I remember one time I watched a You Tube video that had somebody named Chandler in it and somebody in the comments goes "Chandler is a real name?!"

I like it and it ALWAYS brings to mind, Chandler Bing from Friends. I adore chandler Bing so the name has postitive associations for me. I have a few surname-type names on my list. Some work, some don't. Just depends.
Chandler works IMO but perhaps that is being I associate it SO Much with Bing.

Do you know Friends? The TV series? It is really funny, so if you don't check it out :) Anyway, one of the main characters is a guy named Chandler Bing and he gets made fun of his name a lot. It is a bit of an inside joke on the series. I love the character and I think Chandler is all right, but it doesn't have the most attractive sound. I would say it's a bit goofy, but friendly and fun. Just like the character.

Most people in the English speaking world will associate it with Chandler Bing.
