Stella
What do you think of Stella? I can never really decide whether I like it or not. Is it too common?

Stella is ok, it's nice enough. Don't think it's too common
It's an old common name, not common anymore. My great-grandma's name was Stella.
It is supposedly common in the US but I haven't met many.
I had a good friend growing up named Stella St. Clair that I met in preschool art classes. We still know each other since our parents were a part of the punk scene and even though she moved away she later came back, so we ended up at the same high school. She is a semi famous model in NYC now and a fashion designer, she goes by Stella Rose Saint Clair.
I met adorable young sisters 6 or 8 years ago named Stella and Fiona at the Oregon Star Party.
I also knew a Stella who went to college with me and we had two classes together. Those are the only three Stella's that I remember meeting, there is some possibility that I've come across one or two more in passing.
The weird thing is how many people yell out Stella when they hear the name - they are referencing the movie "How Stella Got Her Groove Back". Everyone thinks that they are being so original when they do it. I've seen people do it to my friend and they often would do it when I would tell people that one of my favorite names is Stella. Hopefully the general population has gotten it out of their system.
Stella is one of my top 25 favorite girl's names and a few years ago it was in my top 5. Unfortunately like with Hazel my husband hates it, which in turn has affected my feelings on it. I love that it means star since the stars have always been one of my favorite things. I also love Estella and Estelle.

I love it. I like the meaning and the way it sounds. However, I would probably not use it because it's so popular.
I love Stella. I don't think it's too common.
I really want to like Stella, but I don't like the way it looks or sounds. It's the combination of very stern, harsh beginning and babbling, bubbly ending that turns me off it I think
It's pushing top 50 over here (#51), so I'd say it's pretty common...although I haven't come across a Stella yet. lol but I love this name! In fact, it's currently in my top 20. It has a nice sound, and I love the meaning.
Very pretty name and I do not hear it often.
Where I live it's not common at all: in my whole life I've known exactly two, and the baby one was named after her grandmother (who goes by a nn form of her mn - Elizabeth) so they really only count as one, I think.
I'm not remotely religious, but there's a medieval poem to the Virgin that starts "Of one that is so fair and bright Velut maris stella" (Like a star of the sea) which I've loved all my life. A name attached to an image like that has got to be special!

Not common at all here
I dislike it. It reminds me of Stella Artois
