One of my favorite combos is George Demetrius. I like how the meanings roll together: George boils down to "farmer, earthworker"; and Demetrius comes from Demeter, the earth mother.

Translating that to Italian: Giorgio Demetrio doesn't sound as good to me, but maybe George Demetrio or Demetrio George?
