Roni
Do you think Roni works as a full name for a girl? It is popular in Israel. I like it and its meaning (song) a lot. I also like Ronia nn Roni. Or do you prefer Veronica?

I don't like the name Roni. It is useable since it is a traditional Jewish name but I still don't care for it.I also don't like Ronia.I like Veronica nn Roni and/ or Vera. Ronica also works as a nn but I don't care for it.

ROH-nee? Like Rice-a-roni? Nah.

If you like it, and it's a real name in Israel, then sure, it would work. Veronica is a good name too. where I live, it's Veronique, and the usual nick-name is Vero.

I much prefer Veronica, which is very familiar but a bit glamorous and exotic at the same time.
I'm not fond of Roni or Ronnie as nns or full names for girls. I'm not even fond of Ronnie for a boy; it has a tough, tacky, chain-smoking, dyed-red-hair vibe. I like Ron for a boy, it's friendly and laid-back.
The spelling Roni makes it seem possible that it's pronounced Roh-Nee, like macaroni or Rice-a-Roni.

Always makes me think of Macaroni...sorry. Even with an alternate spelling I don't find the sound attractive.

Hi !!Roni?I know it is masculine.
Infact I found it in a novel 'The Hilltop' by Assaf Gavron where Roni is a man.For a girl I love the name Shiri! It is so sweet and feminine! If you want Veronica you can use Vera as NN. it is more elegant than Roni.Byeeeeeee

Roni is unisex, but in Israel it is much much more common for girls.
