The Norwegian Henriette is lovely as well.

I prefer the French Henriette simply because I dislike anything beginning with Hen for a girl. I don't mind Henry for a boy; in fact, I rather like it. Just not for a girl. Oh, and I also like Henri. ;-)

The English and German pronounciations.

I love the French, but it's one of those names that is a bit hard for the general population outside of France to say.

My second choice is Henriette said the Norwegian way I suppose. I am not sure the slight nuances between the German and Norwegian pronunciations. So, whichever would be the closest to an English pronunciation of the spelling Henriette - That is what I choose.

My favourite would have to be Henrietta, because the rest just don't come naturally to me. I can say them, particularly the French Henriette, and I love the sound, but I have to think before saying them, and almost put on an accent, so I can't do them much justice. I also doubt the beauty of Henriette would translate all that well into the many accents of the UK, including mine.

English Henrietta. It's my mother tongue so it comes the most natural to me and Etta would be a cute nn.

I find Henrietta too fussy and frilly and lo-o-ong, so I'd definitely prefer Henriette. This isn't surprising, because in English I'd consider actually using Harriet!
