I like Maria but I prefer Marie.

I hear and read about Maria quite a lot, it seems, although I've only known one and that was in middle school. It really is a beautiful name.

I like Mary second best and it's pretty as well. It just doesn't wow me. Ditto with Marie.

I love Maria. I used to find it boring when I was little but for a while now I've really liked it.

Mary is my second favorite and Marie is my least favorite because it feels slightly dated. I like both of them but neither excites me.

Maria is a family name, so it has a special place in my heart for me. It is very pretty. :)
