Pamela
Just wondering, Ive just started liking it, I thought the meaning was sweet ( No pun intended)Anyway I was curious what you all thought.Im just worried people think ofthe blonde, stupid sterotypes. Do you think it would work on a girl with brown hair also?

I've known lots of Pamelas who weren't blond. Pamela is one of my favorites, along with Cynthia, that I call my "retro-faves".
But I don't like Pam or Cindy.

I think Pamela is a name in the same style as Vanessa and Sabrina (names invented by poets). But maybe there are too many mothers and grandmothers with this name, so people think it is "wrong generation"?I don't know any Pamelas personally, but I think of a girl with dark hair, due to TV series and films. Why only blondes?I can't say that I like the nn Pam though. I much prefer no nn or maybe Meli or Mela."But it’s all right now.
I learned my lesson well.

So you got to please yourself."

My boyfriends mom is a Pamela. Her name is Pamela Sue and it doesn't really stick out to me but it is nice. She's not blonde, but has dark hair and she's the only one I know. So I guess I'm clueless to the stereotype of the name.

I've never, ever cared for the sound. I've known a few and they've all gone by Pam, which I think is even more unattractive sounding (plus it makes me think of the cooking spray :-/). It's also outdated and not ready for a comeback imo.

I've never associated it with a blonde. I think it's a beautiful name

The truth is, I have met the right person, only he's not in love with me, and until I stop loving him no-one else stands a chance

I don't associate the name with Ms. Anderson. I've known too many Pamelas / Pams before she came along. So I can see it on all types. For some reason, I also associate the name with the English Civil War. Pamela and Henrietta both. Is that weird? Is there some literary heroine named Pamela concerning that era that I'm channeling?Anyway, Pamela is an underrated classic that deserves a comeback.

Yes I do. Sounds cute.

I love it. The only thing that turns me off from it is the possibility of the nickname Pam, which I don't care for. Pamela, though, is just sweet.

I love Pamela. I think it's beautiful, and I think it'd work on any girl, no matter her colouring.Array

I don't like it at all. Pamela Anderson is not my first association though. I just think the name sounds tired and dated and blah. I don't like the sound of Pam at all.

I think it's a lovely name. It used to be on my list of Top 3 Names for Girls, with the combo Pamela Jill. I still like it, but not enough to be on the list.

I think the name Pamela is GREAT... by the time a child born now grows up... the Pamela Anderson thing will be old news... kinda like it's okay to name your child Marilyn now (MONROE)! I don't like Pam though so if you name a child this, don't nn her Pam PLEASE!!! Check Out Blinkyou.com for thousands of custom glitters and layouts
