It's a little bit dated, I guess, in that it was once used more frequently than it is now, but I wouldn't REALLY consider it to be a dated name. I don't feel like it was ever really popular enough to give that impression.

I don't like the th ending for starters.
It's not terrible, but it seems prissy and prep-school in the early nineties to me. I can picture Meredith hanging around with Mallory and Hillary.

I never really liked the sound of it, plus it's kind of dated.

Meredith is growing on me! I used to have it on my "middles only" list, but I think it deserves a shot on my main girls list. It's the name of Taylor Swift's cat, as well as a childhood church friend of mine, which I find to be very good associations. :)

I like it. I think it is both strong and attractive as a name.
