Ottessa
Has anyone heard of this name?
I'm reading a novel where this is the author's name, and in a few articles, they've talked about her Croatian heritage, so maybe it's Croatian? I can't find any information about it online, though.
I really like it as an Odette/Odessa alternative, with the option of Tess as a nn, so I would appreciate any advice/opinions.

It’s definitely not Croatian, we don’t use double letters and it’s also not similar to any Croatian name.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottessa_Moshfegh - say here her mother was born in Croatia and her father was born in Iran. So perhaps an Iranian link or maybe her parents made it up.
