Melchior, Caspar or Balthazar?
A little late in the day, but the carol came on my playlist as I was doing some extra-last minute wrapping and I was just thinking how I like all the names of the three Magi, and...hey... it's Christmas (soon)! Regardless of whether you observe or celebrate Christmas, of the names of the three Wise Men, which ones do you like and what are your favourite combos with them? That's: Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar and all their forms (Jasper, Gaspard and Balthasar and beyond). And if you hate them all, or if, like me, you like 99% forms of the names, which one would you use if you absolutely had to pick one?
Happy Holidays to everyone! :)(Also, since I have this weird love of Caspar, Balthazar and Melchior (in that order), I really want someone else who loves these names to come up with some great combos).

I really like Melchior and Balthazar. I like Jasper more than Casper/Caspar. I doubt I'd name a son after any of these, though, but I think I'd go with Balthazar because it just sounds so badass.

Casparor Jasper, either/or. lol this is the only name I'd actually use; Melchior and Balthazar are too out-there for me.

Balthasar / Balthazar is my favorite, though I love Caspar and Melchior, too.

I adore Caspar and Casper. I like Balthazar and Melchior as well, but they aren't names I would use.

They go well together but the only one I really have any sort of inkling to like is Caspar. Melchior always reminds me of eggnog for some reason, I think because it sounds like "milky-or" to me. Balthazar sounds like a video game villain.

I was just thinking of these three names! Melchior, Balthazar, and Caspar are all fantastic names. It would be fun to meet triplets with these names.
Realistically, Caspar is probably the most usable, but Melchior might actually be my favorite. Balthazar would take a bold personality to pull off, but the nick names Zar, Bal, and Thaz are fun.Caspar David
Caspar Nicholas
Jasper Gabriel
Jasper Sage
Gaspard Antoine
Gaspard Raphael Melchior Amadeus
Melchior Irial
Melchior KsiBalthazar William
Solomon Balthazar
Balthazar Gerard

Balthazar for me :) I'm a bit tied with Balthasar and Balthazar. I think it's a fabulous name with the nickname Balt, and I feel I'm destined to use it on a dog at some point. Maybe I'll put it on my very small List Of Boy Names I Like. It's as follows:*Florian
*Balthasar
*Drake (?)I also love Baldassare!Let's try it out...
Balthazar Faust
Balthazar Zsolt
Balthazar Hengist
Balthazar Joseph
Balthazar Drake*shrugs to death*

I kind of love Melchior. I'd never use it up front, but it's seriously awesome. (If I ever have a son born around Christmas, I could be persuaded to put it in the middle.)I don't much care for Caspar and dislike Balthazar.

I like them all, with Jasper over Casper! Melchior seems a little sinister but still is inviting! Balthazar is rather old mannish but in a good way, and seems to fit the wise man image! Jasoer is bright and trendy, while Casper is dorky and too much tied with the ghost to like it to the full extent! I have a character named Jasper Michael and another character named Balthazar, who is a old, wise, goat and is the adviser to the royal Sheep family!
