Re: Susan
I find this name to be beautiful, elegant, & even sexy, and I consider Suzanne similarly, although these names are not the same; I would also consider Suzanna a different name - as Anna is to Anne (Ann). If I were named Susan I would dislike being called Sue, although when I amended the legal spelling of my name from Barbara to Barbra, I considered hyphenating it to Barbra-Sue, but the idea of being called just Sue dissuaded me. I would prefer the pronunciation of Suzie before Susie; yet if I were named Susan or Suzanne, I'd do my utmost to limit those who call me Suzie to a select few. I consider the concept of "dated" as one of analysis--even if merely through casual reflection, and would therefore offer such a consideration little relevance as to my preference.
