Felix and Damien
I feel like Felix is always in people's combinations on here alongside Jasper and August. I've never been a big fan of Felix because of its unusual sound, but suddenly I'm diggin' it. What are your thoughts on Felix? Is it forever tied to the cat? Any suggestions for middle names or siblings are always welcome.ETA: Also, Damien - what do you think of Damien? Not as a brother to Felix, just in general.
With freedom, books, flowers, and the moon, who could not be happy?

I love Felix, both meaning and sound. Probably has positive connotations because I knew a really handsome Felix when I was at school :-) And a friend has named her adorable son this.Felix the cat doesn't even cross my mind, anymore than I think of Charlotte's Web when I hear Charlotte etc etcI prefer Damian to Damien. Not sure why, I just like the look of it better. I like it a lot, and no, I don't think the Omen makes it unusable :-)

I like both, but prefer Felix. It's pretty common where I live though and not tied to the cat. There's a company here in Sweden named Felix though, so I guess people think of that. But it's not really a problem since it's a common name as well. Siblings for Felix:
Theodore
Isaac

Felix is very feline; also very cat-food. I wouldn't consider it for the very good reason that I much prefer Felicity. (Though I once knew a Felicity who called herself or was called Felix.)I prefer the look of Damian to Damien, though the only two I know both use the French spelling. It seems to be nickname-free and also immune from female forms; I quite like it but there are many names I like more.

Felix: I do not care for. Damien: Like! Though I do prefer the Damian spelling.
Jasper. August: very neutral towards

I love Felix, but waned a bit on it because it became super-duper popular on name boards for a while. I haven't seen that popularity translate into real life however, and it seems to be dying down on name boards too. Felix Benjamin is my favourite combination. Damien is fine. It's a name that should appeal to me more than it does I think, because it's got sounds that come up a lot in my favourite names. I'm not religious but St. Damien is a nice association.

I LOVE the name Felix! It was on our list for DS#2 and DH and I still love it. There are plenty of names that pair nicely with it imo, just depends what you're after. Damien on the other hand, does nothing for me at all.

I guess Felix is very much a cat name, or the neatnik from the Odd Couple, slob Oscar's counterpart. (People really seem to like both names, and some of them get all huffy about the Odd Couple connection.)
I think Felix is wimpy and weak and I'd never even use it for a cat.Damien is okay. I prefer Damian but I guess it doesn't really matter all that much. It's not a name I like enough to ever consider using it but it's okay.
