James, definitely; that's no hardship.
Phillip with two l's is my husband's name and I always did like it. For some reason I never really liked the one-l spelling, though I suppose it really doesn't matter.
Royce doesn't sound so good. Strangely, the only Royce I ever knew in person is a woman who must be near sixty by now.
