I like it. It isn't my favorite French name, but it's nice.****************************************************************

I think that in the U.S., it would be pronounced like GAS-ton, with the emphasis on "GAS". Not fun for a kid, probably.

I love how it sounds but it does make me think of 'Beauty and the Beast'.Leslie, lucky mommy to Scott (2000), Delaney (2002), and Larissa (2005)

It's quite a common name in my area-on older men, though. No little Gastons these days.

All I think of is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast and he was a bit of an idiot! hehe. It's not really my style.

Personally, I can only see it on Louis Jordan's character in Gigi. But it's not a bad name, per se. I'd smile if I were introduced to a little Gaston.

Beauty and the Beast was the first thing I though of, so I could never see it on a real person. Well, it would take some getting used to, anyway!
