Evalina/Evelina
We just found out baby is a girl! We have already chosen Eve(a)lina Ryan for the name. She joins big brother Magnus Christopher. We just haven't picked the spelling, with an e or a. I think I like the A, but I don't think it is a "real" name? I am no good at pronunciations, but I think it would be ev uh LEE nuh. What is your opinion?

I like it a lot. Much better than Evelyn. Evelina is definitely my preferred spelling.
I know someone with this name, spelled Evalina. To me a very minor spelling variation like that isn't different enough to really make it seem like a made up name, but I agree that it would be more likely to be mispronounced.
This is a really pretty name, though it's not at the top of my list.
As for Ryan, I don't really like it for a girl. Since Evelina is so feminine and it's the middle name it would work okay, but I'd choose something different.

Evalina/Evelina is too vapid in my opinion, and reminds me of both the word "evil" and the word "javalina", a kind of wild pig.
Eva on it's own is sleek and elegant, but Evelina is a definite no.

Evelina is such a beautiful name, it goes very well with Magnus!
I would go Evelina for the spelling. Evalina sounds like its pronounced Eev-a-lee-na and not Ev-uh-lee-na. Besides. it's also a made up spelling, give your daughter a legitimate spelling.

Evelina is lovely, and it complements Magnus beautifully.
Evalina is an unnecessary variation of Evelina, in my opinion.

I would definitely go with Evelina, because I despise made up spellings of established names. It's also way less likely to get mispronounced and just looks nicer.
I like how you paired a pretty feminine first name with a more unisex middle. This way, she has options when she gets older if she doesn't want to go by a super feminine name.
ps. I adore the name Magnus :)

I'd stick with Evelina, it's the "proper" spelling and looks nicer. Evalina will probably get an EVA-Lina pronunciation. Just wondering why you are going with Ryan as the mn? It's so trendy and masculine and doesn't fit with the fn or her brother's classic names in my opinion. What about Rhiannon instead? Similar sound, but a legitimate feminine name with some history.
hey, congrats! I like Evelina with an E better. :-)
I like the Evelina spelling best. I think the Evalina spelling might lead people to pronounce it Eva-leena.
I prefer Evelina, just because it's a real name and not a made up spelling.
