Right now I prefer Vivienne, but I used to think it was too princess-y and had Vivian in my Top 10. Either way, Vivienne/Vivian is my favorite name for a girl, and in the end I'd probably choose whichever spelling looks best with the child's surname. Not crazy about Vivien. Outside of France, Viviane/Vivianne is trying too hard; and outside of Italy, Viviana/Vivianna is trying too hard (imo).Heck no to Vivyan!

Vivien is my favorite spelling. More feminine-looking than Vivian, but not unnecessarily frilly like Vivienne.

Vivien for a girl and either Vivian or Vyvyan for a boy. My mum went to school with a male Vyvyan.Vivien Sarah and Peter Vivian

I adore Vivian on a boy. I also like Vyvyan (a la Oscar Wilde's son). For a girl, I adore Vivien. I also like Viviane.

Vivienne is the most elegant to me. Vivian/en more masculine.

Vivian or Vyvyan for a male, Vivien for a female.I'd rather use it on a female, but it would be fun to meet a small boy Vivian.Vivien Joy
Vivien Janet
Vivien Ruth

Vivien or Vivienne
Vivianna is gorgeous. Also, like Vivianne but the conflict is that I'm pronouncing it "-ien" not "-anne."Vivian(e) is a spelling I've seen mostly on women 55+, which is fine but just strikes me as dated.I think Vivi is adorable; Viv is inevitable but not bad.

I can never decide between Vivien and Vivienne. While I like the frills of the latter, sometimes I think it might be too much. I also like the vixen-ness of Vivien. Vivien Gale is one of my all time favesOthers:

Vivian in English, Viviane in French, Viviana in Italian. Vivyan feels really overwrought.

Vivien is my favorite.
I also like Vivian.
And Vivian for a boy, but that's a gp.
The rest don't do anything for me.

Vivian, Vivien, and Vivienne are my favoritesI think Viv and Vivi sound a little dated though. I prefer Vi (or maybe Vin but that's more of a stretch).
