Letitia
I think Letitia is striking, and I like the sound of it too (lih-TISH-uh). Does anyone else think Letitia has appeal? It seems like a fresher alternative to Sophia, Olivia, and Amelia.I also like Laetitia with the French pronunciation. When I was in France, I met more than one young person with this name; it was quite common.

Personally I can only thin of this name on an older person but it's nice enough

I do like it a lot, but I keep forgetting it is pronounced lih-TISH-uh to most. My cousin is named this. She lives in Italy and pronounces it Leh-te-tzee-ah. I adore it. It's not so rare there. In general, I have found this name gets a bad rap. It seems to have something to do with it being more popularly used in African American families. Not sure why that gives it a nod down... but sadly it seems to nock a few points off for some people. I find it lovely. It's a prettier Felicia.

The Italian pronunciation is quite pretty. I like it AND Lucrezia.

I LOVE Lucrezia! There was a little Italian girl at my school when I was 6 or so. She had pierced ears and wore a gold chain with a cross around her neck. Once she came to school in her communion dress. The rest of us little late 70s heathens, in our carefully non-gendered corduroy dungarees thought she was impossibly glamorous and envied her jewellery and princessy clothes and name enormously!

Side note: Neither shine a light on the delightful Ludovica though.

I like it. I wouldn't say I love it, but I like it.

I like Letitia very much and Laetitia even more so. I also love Italian Letizia, but it would be difficult to carry off in an English speaking country

I've known two Letitias but they've both been pronounced le-TEE-sha. I don't find it very appealing myself, but the lih-TISH-uh pronunciation is better =)

I'm on the fence. It's a family name, it's interesting and it's unusual, and it's got a great meaning - and all those things are good, but it does sound like a sneeze. My sister considered it briefly for one of her daughters and my mother was horrified, heh. The only Letitia I know is called Tish - even more sneezy! I'd have chosen Letty. Laetitia is lovely though, & yup, very popular in France in the 80s.

I'm not fond of the squishy "TISH" sound in Letitia, but I do love Leticia Leh-tee-CEE-ah.

When I see Letitia I want to pronounce it more like lih-TEESH-ya, because I knew a family with the surname Letizia with a similar pronunciation. I'm not sure what the French pronunciation sounds like.I think Letitia is appealing but it's not my favorite. I prefer over-the-top Lucretia.

I adore Letitia! It's so baroque, and Letty is one of my all-time favorite diminutives.Hooray for Letitia love!

Personally, I don't find it very pleasing, but there's not really a reason, just personal preference. I would probably like it if I knew someone with the name. But I really like the meaning (joy, happiness) and I think the French spelling is interesting and pretty. And I always love finding good alternatives to tired and overused names :)
