Lee/Leigh
This is sort of out of character for me, but all the sudden I really like Lee/Leigh for a girl. It seems strong and simple to me. Do you like Lee or Leigh? Is the spelling Leigh tacky?

Leigh is super ugly, dated, and yes, tacky.Lee is better for a boy, but I'd best of any variant for a girl too.

I don't like it as a first name at all for a girl. It is just a sound.
It is all right for a middle name, I guess, though not a favorite. The spelling Leigh looks more feminine and thus I like it better as a girl's first or middle name.

I don't mind Leigh at all... as long as it is on it's own and not tacked on to the end of another name (i.e. Brynnleigh)I prefer Lee for guys and Leigh for girls. It's just a preference. Though I do think Leigh would be kinda cool on a boy, even though it screams girl.

I don't like the name myself, but no I don't think Leigh is tacky. Spelt Lee, it is a bit of a trashy name for a girl imo

I prefer the spelling Lee for a boy and the spelling Leigh for a girl. And no, I do not think the Leigh spelling is tacky. I find it feminine looking. :)

Leigh isn't tacky. It's certainly trying harder than Lee is, but it's not as uppity as, say, Charis or Louisa. Lee is more my style, but I think I'd go with Leigh because it seems like it's less dated and I'd be ultimately happier with it. For a girl born in the near future, I mean.

I only would use it as a nn for a girl but for other people Lee for a boy and Leigh for a girl are okay.I don't mind the spelling Leigh but I dislike Ashleigh and other names that end in -leigh. I don't find them that bad but I don't like Ashleigh.I really like Lee and Leigh as nn's for a girl though. For example Leocadia nn Lee or Liviana nn Lee or Liora nn Lee.I much prefer Leah / Lea / Lia as a full fn.

I much prefer Lee, it just looks nicer. I've never minded this name, though I prefer it as a mn.

Where I'm from (US South), Leigh is the female spelling and I don't view it as tacky at all. It's just dated. Having said that, it's still nice. I know quite a few people with Lee / Leigh as their mn -- including family.Re: spelling, I prefer Leigh for a female and I find this slightly more complex and appealing.

I love Lee but I must admit I'm a little biased. ...it's my middle name and my son's too.I do not like Leigh.

It's pretty gross, but I like the spelling Leigh more.

Lee is pretty cute. It's a common middle name but it's actually fairly fresh sounding as a first name. I think Leigh is ugly though. It's manly in a bad way. I don't mind masculine-looking names on girls but Leigh is just too rough and awkward and has no redeeming qualities in my opinion.

I like Leigh, it's so cute... don't really like Lee. It feels a bit incomplete to me I guess. I've also always loved Leah.

I don't see Leigh as tacky and I love Lee. It is simple and sweet.

For stand-alone, I like Leigh best. Lee is more (I think) for a combo-name..Mary-Lee, Myrna-Lee.
