Lee/Leigh

I don't like it as a first name at all for a girl. It is just a sound.
It is all right for a middle name, I guess, though not a favorite. The spelling Leigh looks more feminine and thus I like it better as a girl's first or middle name.

Leigh isn't tacky. It's certainly trying harder than Lee is, but it's not as uppity as, say, Charis or Louisa.
Lee is more my style, but I think I'd go with Leigh because it seems like it's less dated and I'd be ultimately happier with it. For a girl born in the near future, I mean.

I only would use it as a nn for a girl but for other people Lee for a boy and Leigh for a girl are okay.
I don't mind the spelling Leigh but I dislike Ashleigh and other names that end in -leigh. I don't find them that bad but I don't like Ashleigh.
I really like Lee and Leigh as nn's for a girl though. For example Leocadia nn Lee or Liviana nn Lee or Liora nn Lee.
I much prefer Leah / Lea / Lia as a full fn.

I much prefer Lee, it just looks nicer. I've never minded this name, though I prefer it as a mn.
Where I'm from (US South), Leigh is the female spelling and I don't view it as tacky at all. It's just dated. Having said that, it's still nice. I know quite a few people with Lee / Leigh as their mn -- including family.
Re: spelling, I prefer Leigh for a female and I find this slightly more complex and appealing.

It's pretty gross, but I like the spelling Leigh more.
