Zenith
I had someone the other day tell me about his son Zenith. He said it was to honour two people, Zoe and Kenneth. I actually think it's kinda cool. Zenith is a legit Z word name that has totally flown under the trendy radar but fits in really well, bridging a gap between the likes of Zayden and Maverick. The honouring part worked well for him but I like it regardless. WDYT?

I like it as a word name. I don't really like it as a mashup, but I guess it's cool as a stealth mashup. I think Zenith is pretty solidly unisex too. It doesn't lean masculine or feminine for me.

I think it's unspeakably awful. But then, as it ticks two of my pet hate boxes (word names and mashups) I would. Better Zenith than Nadir I guess?

I like it, especially with that back story. I threw around the idea of Clarity for dd's mn, to honor a Clara and a Dee, but noone else was on board with my amazing idea. ;)

I would rather just treat Zoe and Kenneth with special respect/remember them in my will/buy them nice headstones/plant trees in their memory than name my kid an electronics brand and try to pass it off as honoring.
Seriously, the first thing that springs to mind is our old TV. Like he ought to have a sister named Sony and a brother named Magnavox.

I like Zenith. It looks and sounds masculine without being overly macho, so it could probably work well for a girl too by adventurous parents. I have trouble finding Z names that I like, so this is a good less popular alternative to Zayden, Zachary, or even Zephyr. I also really like the meaning, especially the astronomy related "the point in the sky or celestial sphere directly above an observer."

I think finding a name that incorporates parts of two other names to honor two people is pretty cool. I once knew a Marnie who was named that because her parents' names were Marguerite and Ernie. In this case, unfortunately, although the concept is cool, Zenith just makes me think of televisions.

I know a young woman named Claudria;her father is Claude, and her mother is Gloria.

It's not unheard of in Brazil (and other Latin American countries) for people to do that. My girlfriend has a second cousin named Lucimar whose parents are Lucia and Mario.

I know somebody ...Named Charlynda, named for her dad Charlie and mom Lynda. That works. Soft ch, like Charlene rather than Charles. And I know a Camala (rhymes with Pamela) whose name comes from her mother's maiden name, Carolyn Maxine La---.And my husband had a great-aunt who was named Margaret Ann after both grandmothers but was usually called Martannie.

The only things that come to mind are Zenith firearms and Zenith watches. Not exactly what I want to come to mind when I say my kid's name. That being said, it does look masculine, but I feel it has a more feminine sound like Edith or Lilith.
