I had an Aunt Susie. Her real name was Carol. Apparently, when she was a young child she decided she did not like Carol and that her new name was Susie. And everybody just started calling her Susie. She also named her daughter Susan.

When I was student teaching at my colleges daycare, there where two 4 yr olds who were neighbors. The girl, whose NN was Noodles was moving away. The little boy was heart broken. The little asked my if I would be his new Noodles. Well I told this sweet story to my Aunt who quickly decided that my new NN would be Noodles!
