Not a fan. Really don't like how it sounds
According to some article I saw, there already is a surge in babies being name Simone.
According to the popularity charts it has only been decreasing in popularity but maybe the article was about a surge in popularity for this year.

Pronounced siMON, it's fine. Pronounced siMOAN, it isn't. How does the gymnast pronounce her name, and do other people (sports commentators for instance) follow her lead? I didn't watch much Olympic stuff for time-zone reasons.
