I've always like Maya, I think it's a pretty name, and I really like that it means "illusion" and that it's the name of a game engine. I prefer the Maya spelling.

I love Maya! I used to prefer Maia (my-UH) but now I think I like Maya (MAY-uh) better. I would spell it depending on how you want to pronounce it. I once looked after a little Maya pronounced my-UH and it confused everyone. I just simply prefer Maya but Maja could work for the my-UH pronunciation as well as Maia.

I love Maia though, it was my great great grandmother's name and as a kid I thought about having a daughter named Maia some day. But then it became popular, so we went with another Swedish name.

I like it because of Borderlands. I would only name my daughter it if she was a Siren, though.
