Stella vs Bella?
I know two little girls (not that well though) one is named Stella and the other one is Bella. Both 4 I believe and are unrelated to each other as far as I know. So with these names rhyming, which one do you prefer or do you prefer neither? Just for fun O:-)
Bella may be short for Isabella or something or it may not be short for anything. I have no what the case is there.
I personally prefer Stella myself

Stella.
I so dislike Bella.
Though I know a young girl named Bella-Rose, and since she's a nice child, it's bearable.

Bella on its own is boring and Twilight ruined it. Also the Ella trend helped to make it too trendy.
Arabella is probably my favorite -bella name. Stella is my favorite -ella name. If I had a Arabella she'd get called Ari or Ara or Ellie or Ella. Stella would get either Stellie or Ellie or Ella.
I met a baby named Mirabella born just before Bella got super trendy and before Twilight. Isabella was trendy at the time though. I don't think they realized that but maybe they did. I actually like Mirabella, probably about as much as Arabella.
I wish Ella wasn't quite so trendy since Ella is a family name and I'm not certain I'd feel comfortable using it. Also it is probably part of Stella's growing popularity.
I grew up with a Stella who has become a NYC harajuku punk abstract vintage fashion model with her own small clothing business where she makes each piece. Our mother's were punk party animals back in the day. Her mother was a model and her father a semi famous punk rocker. Stella and I took dance classes instead of attending preschool. Then later in life we went to high school together. I've always loved the name Stella. I also always loved the name Maxine which is her mother's name.

I find -bella names overdone, too long and too ornate. Bella has been taken over by canines, at least where I live, which doesn't help. And, if the nn needs a nn, what can one do? Belle is flaccid and Belly is unthinkable.
Anyway, I like Stella a lot! I, too, know a small one and I'd like to see many more.

I'm going with Bella. I have liked the name since I was a child and read a book where the little girl has the name.
