Ugh!!! Miles
I prefer Nathan. It's my son's name.

I see the appeal of Miles, but in the U.S. it's also a unit of measurement.

This made me think of an episode of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" which I saw. Joel and the bots were watching a movie which starred Miles O'Keeffe. When his name appeared on the screen, one of the bots asked, "How much Keeffe is in this movie?" One of them answered, "Miles O'Keeffe." LMAO.
I thought it hilarious, but it doesn't keep me from loving the name Miles.

That could quite likely be New Kid's name if my husband didn't have an irrational hatred of it.

Nathan - like Aaron - became so common two or three decades ago that I shall have to say I prefer Miles. I know a seven-year-old Miles and like his name very much. I put it in the same trad but cool category as Piers
Although I do quite like Nathan I must say that I absolutely love Nathaniel and regret not using it when I had the chance!
