It doesn't make me think of a dolphin at all. It makes me think of ancient Greece and oracles.
I used to like it enough to shortlist it, but that only lasted until I encountered a toddler Delphine in one of my kids' extracurriculars. I thought in real life it would sound way too stuckup. The little girl was from a French speaking family, so it seemed normal on her, but on my own kid it would have been too precious and Euro-chic. Along the lines of Elettra or Lieselotte (names I think are nice in their language but are foreign enough to me, to seem odd and pretentious on my kid).
