Mirabelle vs Mirabella
WDYT? I have been starting to love these names, but I can't decide which one is better.

I can honestly say I like both equally. They are both very pretty.
They're both great, though of the two I prefer Mirabella.
Who else here remembers the Wizard Cards from Harry Potter? Mirabella Plunkett was on one of them.

By coincidence I was thinking about these names myself yesterday - we've just had a General Election in Australia and a politician called Sophie Mirabella came on the television. Mirabella is her last name (i.e. surname) - but I thought to myself that it would make a lovely first name. It strikes me as far prettier and more usable than Mirabel and Mirabelle - which seem a bit soppy to me. Mirabella is not soppy - rather spunky and feminine at the same time. Miri would be a lovely nn.
Thinking about this a bit I have realized I feel the opposite way about them that I do with any other -elle vs. -ella name. Mirabelle feels like the more frilly and insubstantial of the two. Mirabella somehow seems to have more pluck!
Normally I prefer -elle endings ie Annabelle, Isabelle, etc. But for this name I think I like Mirabella better.
