Byzantium... (after tidalwaveengineer's poll)
Hi !!!
Could Byzantium work as a masculine given name?
When I saw that poll I was fascinated by this name.
It is quite exotic it is true but people often give their children "city names". And Byzantium has a beautiful historical baggage.
In my opinion it could be a great name!

No way. It is too clunky and associated with the city.
Very, very pretentious.
Sorry, but I think it is way too big an clunky.
On another note I have actually seen Istanbul on a girl! I guess she was Turkish.

I could see someone using it as a name. Not me though. :)
