Seriously, the girl's name was Delilah. She got angry if you did not call her "Delilah." But her parents misspelled her name D-A-H-L-I-A, and then expected everyone to say "Delilah" because that's what they intended when they named her.

That reminds me of a student my husband had once named Titaniya but it was pronounced like Tatiana.
