A - B femalenames with Norwegian origin
These names are from after the Norse era. I think the names from the list (which I found on Norwegian wikipedia) do contain names that just are reworded from foreign names into more Norwegian-ish names. I think so because many of them are names I assosiate more with other countries than Norway.
These are the names for A - B on the list:
Alfild
Aline
Andbjørg
Anelise
Annelen
Anneline
Annemette
Annemor
Anngerd
Anniken
Annita
Annmarie
Annvår
Arnbjørg
Arris
Ba
Babben
Benedikte
Berendina
Bergly
Berina
Berthea
Bjørnlaug
So, WDYT of these names?
I personally don't like most of these.. But I do like Aline, Annelen, Annmarie, Berina and I kind of like Berthea.

I'm not sure about Babben...at least it's not a "real" name. There is a Swedish stand up comedian called Babben Larsson, whose real first name is Barbro, so it's just a nick. I don't know if it's used in Norway, too.
I only like

Hi !!!!
I like:
Andbjørg
Anngerd
Arnbjørg
Bjørnlaug
+ Annemarie (with an e) but it is more French
I think that I like them because they have an "Ancient Norse" fascination. I love their sound.
Can I tell you if these names are used nowadays?
I know that bjørg prefix/suffix is common but with these combinations..? Are they considered "Archaic/dead names" or they are used?
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I don't think the names you picked out are very common anymore. But I do know an 8 year old girl named Ambjørg, almost like Andbjørg and Arnbjørg, so I think the old norse names arent dead yet. I can see that there is always some parents that love old Norwegian names.
