Re: Gwenllian and Glendora
in reply to a message by noel
Love, love Gwenllian. I feel a little guilty not using the Welsh pronunciation. But my linguistic abilities aren't that acrobatic. So I'm using what I assume is the English pronunciation (please let me know if even this is incorrect): ("GWEN-lee-un")Gwenllian Sophie
Gwenllian Iris
Gwenllian April
Gwenllian Meadow
Gwenllian Ursa
Gwenllian Sibyl
Gwenllian Frances
Gwenllian Ivy
Gwenllian Christabel
Gwenllian Mavis
Gwenllian Freya
Gwenllian Tess
Gwenllian Bryony
Gwenllian Carys
Gwenllian Oona / Oonagh / Una
Gwenllian Ishbel
Gwenllian Carina
Gwenllian Echo
Gwenllian Hester
Gwenllian Pearl
Gwenllian AlixI could go on and on. Gwenllian is surprisingly versatile. As for Glendora, it's reminding me of the mother on "Bewitched," Endora. I'm more inclined towards Glencora, from "The Pallisers." :0)
