I like the -is ending. Avis, Iris, Eris, Agnes... For some reason, though I don't like Dolores. I appreaciate it as an unusual name, but its nms. I don't know about the nn Dolly. I always think "Hello Dolly" but I think I'm in the minority, associating the name with that musical, at least, in my age group.
