I far prefer Selene. It's mythological, classic, timeless. Being Canadian, Celine is so strongly identified with Celine Dion I can't even see it as a separate entity any more (and I'm not a fan of hers). It's also super dated to the 90's in my mind because of that.
Celine is said a bit differently also, if you're French. It's like "Sellin'", with emphasis on the last syllable. Selene is much prettier imo.

I pronounce them the same and I much prefer the look of Celine.
I do pronounce them the same, but not a big fan of the name. I would prefer Selene or Celine though.
