Oh. I suppose they put in the y to make it more of a fn? Which is a pity. If they'd left it as Slade, he'd have been named after a very prestigious school of art!As for Blayde ... here in South Africa we've got a government minister whose given name is Blade. Not the worst of the bunch by any means, but he's an old-style Commie so he gets a bit doctrinaire at times. And Comrade Blade is straight out of a Dr Seuss imitation.
