Gardenia
I'm curious what you think of Gardenia as a name? I met a girl named Gardenia once.

I like many unusual flower names, but I'm not too fond of Gardenia. It may be because it sounds too much like the Swedish word for curtain, gardin (pr. gahr-DEEN)!

Too botanical. Not in the same range as Rose or Violet, more like Tulip and Begonia.

I don't like it, because it reminds me of the word garden.
I'm not exactly sure why, but every time I see the name Gardenia it makes me think of Yardena, which I think is a lovely name.

I don't like it. It's not the loveliest of flower names sound wise and I don't see any obvious nicknames that take my fancy.

A bit funny. Like the kind of thing I would snort at if I heard someone used it. But then a few hours later I would think, hey that's gutsy enough to be almost nice.

That was basically my reaction.

Mine too. And it shortens to Deany/however they might spell it, which seems friendly and usable.

Deany is user-friendly indeed. That helps.

I always think of Gardenia from Pokemon.I still like the name, though.

It's ok. It reminds me of the city in California or the flower.

I like it but I seriously wouldn't use it.

It's clearly over the top but I like it. Although I tend to be attracted to names with a similar pattern like Eugenia and Virginia.
