But it's a nice name, lovely meaning

I quite like it. It's unusual and seems quite fresh and different, but it's a nice easy name for a child to say and spell.
I like it spelt with a K.
I like it. But I pronounce the a like in care bear or Sara.
It's ok, though not a name I'd use. To me, it's like calling a child "Dear".
I prefer it with a K and pronounced KER-ə.
I don't like it much. nothing really wrong with it, but for me, it's too flimsy. A marshmallow fluff name.
I have a classmate from Wales called Cara who is the first with the name that I have ever met, she is 20 years old and does the name a lot of favours.
I tend to prefer Clara however (KLAR-ruh) I think the 'l' adds something that Cara lacks.
I think it's a good name all-round, one I wouldn't mind hearing on younger children more often.

I like Cara and Kara, but have never heard it pronounced any way except Care-a in the US.
My instinct is to pronounce the name as care-uh. Perhaps it's because of my accent (Midwestern United States), but if I pronounce it car-rah then it sounds weak and affected coming from me.
Even with the care-uh pronunciation, I'd still spell it Kara. Not that I'm likely to use the name in real life, anyway...
