Arabella
What does everyone think about Arabella?
I keep going back and forth over it. I don't know if it's too 'frilly' or fussy to go with our other names? (Daphne, Winifred, Theodora & Edwina)
Also I wonder whether it's too popular..
Does Arabella sound nicer than Daphne? Or would Arabella be a nicer middle name?
Daphne Hilda Arabella?

I think Arabella is pretty, but it's too fussy for me. I think it goes nicely with your other names, but it is a step further. It's less sturdy than your other names (except perhaps Edwina).
I don't know about popularity. I've only known of one, a few months younger than John. But a little girl in Florida doesn't shed much light on what your daughter's experience would be.
Personally I prefer Daphne. I think it's spunkier and has a more versatile vibe than the fussy Arabella. Daphne Hilda Arabella is pretty lovely though :)

I love Arabella. I just wish it were less popular so I could use it
I like Arabella. It doesn't seem as fussy or frilly as other -bella names and I've only ever met one and she has always been compliments on it. I think it works well in real life and is the perfect mix of recognisable but very uncommon.
I think Daphne Hilda Arabella is a mouthful. I still prefer Daphne Winifred Hilda for flow.
Arabella Hilda Daphne could be nice

Arabella is definitely frilly and fussy. It's one of those try too hard names for me. I definitely have a bias against this name. It makes me think of a 12 year old girl trying to make a character, gothic and romantic but only succeeding in making a terrible Mary Sue. It's trying to be better and fresher than Isabella but doesn't succeed.
I don't much like Daphne either, but I'd rather be a Daphne then Arabella. Araballa does seem a bit much next to your other choices.

It's better than Isabella, at least. It doesn't have the ugly "IZ" sound. But it does still have that heavy "bella". Also, I find the "Ar" sound at the beginning awkward. Meh.
I know a young Arabella and I like it. Isabella and Annabelle are so much more princessy, IMO. Imagine a real kid, a plain kid who isn't some fantasy. Say it out loud in an ordinary way - Is Arabella in your class this year? It's way better than Annabelle or Isabella. It's not too popular.
It's more appealing than Daphne IMO, and much less prissy than Theodora, and better than Edwina but not by much. It's not cooler than Edwina. It goes better with Theodora than with any of the others, but there is no real clash.
Daphne Hilda Arabella is fine but I'd rather Arabella Daphne.

I think Arabella is lovely and while it is a little frilly, I don't think it's too frilly. It would fit in with the other names quite well imo. Arabella isn't that popular here in Oz and it would be gorgeous for a sister to Daphne. I mean, Daphne and Arabella? Beautiful! Don't hide it in the mn spot, save it in case you have another DD down the track!
Haha. Don't stress me out! I'm coping well enough with the thought of one daughter.. two daughters, that's too much to handle! ;)
Plus I won't have enough names for two girls.

Arabella is definitely not popular. I have never known or known of one, and can't think of any famous ones.
It's as foo-foo and fussy and overstuffed as Isabella or Annabelle. Also for some reason makes me think of a skin rash.

Ivanka Trump named her daughter Arabella
In 2005 the name ranked for the first time at 795. It's now at 174. So it's popular and gaining popularity.

Gosh, I do like Arabella. But it is getting pretty popular, plus easily lumped in with all the Isabella and Bellas, not to mention all the Ar- type names (Aria, Arianne, Arianna, Arielle, etc). It's seems even more popular than it actually is just by virtue of the shared elements, kwim? I do think it would be better as a middle name. I much prefer Daphne as a first name. I'm not really one for 2 middle names, but Daphne Hilda Arabella is quite nice. I'll admit I prefer just Daphne Hilda (so sweet!).
I like it. I think it's about the same level of fussy as Theodora...and no, not too popular.
Did you mean does it go with the other names in a combo, or as a sibset?
If you mean a sibset, I think they all sound fine together.
If you mean a combo, I only like it with Daphne and Winifred, because I do think it sounds frilly paired with another name ending in 'a' (so I wouldn't use it with Hilda either).
Of the possible combos, my favorites are...
Daphne Arabella
Arabella Winifred
