Ezra?
I really like the name Ezra, but I feel it is very linked to Christianity- especially as I am not a straight Christian!
I also think also be linked to Ezra Fitz on Pretty Little Liars!
What are yours thoughts
Thx

I love this name! It's such a nice friendly name.
I really like Ezra.
I think Ezra is a really nice boys name!
I actually like it. I find it unusual enough to make it memorable but not so unusual that it sounds crazy or unusable. Also unlike many biblical names, it hasn't been used to the point you're sick of hearing it.
I think Ezra has a kind quality about it. I like it a lot and would consider using it one day, though yes, in my generation I think it is a bit tied to Pretty Little Liars!
If I met an Ezra who was age 30 or older, is assume he came from either a very Christian or very Jewish family. Any younger than that, I wouldn't think so. Honestly same goes for Noah, Jonah, etc.

I hate Ezra, but I definitely don't think it's too linked to Christianity. My daughter and I are both atheists, yet my grandson is named another Old Testament name, Abraham. You don't have to believe that The Bible is the Word of God to recognize its cultural impact, or to appreciate the names it contains. I wouldn't want to start rejecting names because of their meanings or origins.
As for "Pretty Little Liars", I've never heard of it.

I like its look and sound as well, but I don't identify with the associations I have, either, and I'd never consider using it. It's like Ira - another name I think is appealing aesthetically, but would never use.
I think Ezra might end up like Noah though, or like Jacob ... a super Jewish/Christiany name that becomes mainstream because it has a fashionable sound, and after a while loses its religiousiness.
