Maybe it's because I never read Twilight or saw the movies, but I didn't realize there was an association at all. I prefer Rosalie out of the two, but both are entirely usable today, and would be refreshing to see.

Honestly, I associate the name more with the character Rosalee on "Grimm."

I love Rosalie, it is my favourite Rose name. I think Twilight craze has died down enough, and Rosalie was a lesser-known character anyway.

It doesn't sound too childish or too adult, I think it would work for any age. You could use a nickname like Rose or Rosie

I think the Twilight craze has died down. Most people have moved on to liking (or hating) Fifty Shades of Grey.

I think this name is incredibly boring. Rosalia sounds like a disease.

I love both of the names. Where I live I don't know anyone with either name, and I've never watched Twilight so it can't overshadow my opinions. Personally I believe it can fit any age, andbbe supported by nicknames such as: Ros, Rose, Rosie, Rosa, Lee and Lia.

Why not? It's awesome name. I like it. That's name for a rose. I more prefer Rosalie and I pronounce "raw-sah-li-yeh".
In Czech Republic became more popular give for newborn daughters.

I've only ever known one Rosalie, and since she's now retired, I can easily see it on an adult!

My issue with Rosalie is that the rose at the beginning and the diminutive-looking ending combine to make it appear extremely sentimental, a problem I don't have with the other Rose names: Rosemary is positively energetic compared to Rosalie, and Rosamond is definitely feisty as well as elegant.

Rosalia doesn't happen where I live. It seems too long for itself, like Isabella compared to Isabel.

Fortunately the Twilight craze has come and gone, and with it the implications that every Bella, Jacob and Edward is from Twilight (for the most part). Even more fortunately, Rosalie as a name never really became tied with the book.

Love the name Rosalie, way before twilight and popular literature shouldn't affect your love of a name you've always loved. It's so pretty and I don't think it's over used at all. A young girl could definitely grow into this name.

Rosalie is absolutely one of my favorite names. I actually had it as a mn in one of my top combos, but eventually replaced it with Rosalind because it fit better with the fn. I think it was liked long before the whole Twilight association, so I don't think that would be an issue.

I've always loved Rosalie and think it's very pretty. It's the name of one of my Great Aunts. I know it's gotten more common, but I wouldn't say it's overused. I only know of one little one. Also I have never read/seen Twilight and don't really think THAT many people have, plus isn't that not one of the main characters? Plus it's not anything important, so I could care less that some people might think there's a connection. I think it does have a youthfulness about it, but on an adult that just makes it more upbeat. I'd certainly consider it to use IRL, more likely as a middle name.

Not being a Twilight fan, I didn't know it was associated. I think Rosalie is nicer.

For me a pretty, handsome and cute FN with a touch gypsy style, which also of course is still good even in mature age.
NN Lilli, Line, Rosalinchen (like Gretchen) or Sally.
Similar names are Rosalee, Rosaley, Rosaly, Rosalind, Rosalija, Rosalina and (your) Rosalia. Derivation is Roswitha.
Whereas "Rosalia" a bit sounds for me too moldy, antiquated and yesterday´s.

Rosalie is really pretty and I think it's fine for a little girl and definitely a name that works well for someone older too. I don't know anything about Twilight, so I can't answer that one. Rosie would be a cute nn for a little girl though, if you want something more cute.

Twilight craze? Eh ... the name was on everybody's radar before Twilight, and I think it still is because of pre-twilight appeal. It's not overused.

Rosalia is very different to Rosalie, to me. I like Rosalia a little more on paper, but I'd probably rather call someone Rosalie.
