I'm a child of hippies, so I like it
in reply to a message by Sabrina Fair
To me it's a hippie name, but a beautiful one. I would picture a little girl named Sky having siblings named Ocean, River and Canyon (I know real children - unrelated - who have these names).
With Sky as fn, perhaps the following (and no, I'm not kidding, and I particularly like the ones with *):
Sky Bliss
Sky Calliope
Sky Caprice
Sky Diamond
Sky Gemini
Sky Gypsy
Sky Ciela (see-AY-la, var. "cielo" Span. "heaven" I believe)
Sky Kelani
Sky Leilani*
Sky Maia
Sky Mariah ("...they call the wind Mariah")
Sky Phoebe* (for Phoebus Appollo, Greek sun god)
Sky Salome
Sky Selene
Sky Tatiana*
Sky Violet
Perhaps using Sky as a mn, as in these combinations, would suit better:
Andromeda Sky
Aurora Sky
Cassiopeia Sky (w/ this mn I would pronounce this "cass-ee-OH-pee-ah")
Celestina Sky
Cerelia Sky
Clementine Sky
Crimson Sky
Devi Sky
Delilah Sky
Eithne Sky
Gabriella Sky
Lavender Sky
Lorelei Sky
Opal Sky
Paloma Sky
Sapphire Sky
Serena Sky
Zenobia Sky
It has quite captured my imagination, frankly. Haven't made a list like this for someone else in a long time! :)
