What your two favorite Irish names?
What your two favorite Irish names, one girl and one boy? They don't have to strictly Irish (such as Patrick!) just have a lovely Irish flair. Mine are Ciaran & Eithne, I'd love to hear yours! :D
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is really hard!
For boys its Connor (but I also adore Aodhan, Aonghus and Sean)
For girls it is probably Caoimhe or Saoirse...I really can't choose!

Opinions from an Irish girl: Niamh and KieranIt's so hard to choose!! My favorite for a boy would be Kieran, though, and for a girl, Niamh.

Cathal and MavourneenEven though Mavourneen comes from a phrase, I still love the sound of it. I don't know if Irish people would find this to be a ridiculous name or not but oh well; just because I like the sound doesn't meant I'm going to be using it, so it's kind of a moot point. :-)

I rather like it!I think it's really nice. One of my favorite Gaelic sayings comes from the song Súil a Rúin where the last line of every verse is Is go dtéigh tú mo bhóirtn slán or "a blessing walk with you my love / my darling". I also have been liking the sound of Páistín (Pastheen) which comes from another Celtic song An Paistin Fionn (The Fair Haired Youth). I like it because it's rather like other Irish names Kathleen, Roisin, Doreen, Maureen, Pegeen, ect. :)

It's funny but Patrick is my favorite Irish name and it's in my top 10 list. For girl's Irish names, I really like Maura, Maeve, and Bridget.Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart. - Anne Frank
