The user-submitted name Isola says that it's probably a variant of Isolda (and can be a word name from Italy also) and that it was the name of Oscar Wilde's sister.I think the similarity to Isolda can't be overlooked and it does look like an alteration of that. I don't care for it, it looks like the beginning of the word "isolation" and that bothers me. I also get a chemically vibe from iso- and -sol-.- mirfak
