Dodge is a kind of car in the US as I'm sure you know, not sure how much of an issue that would be in Australia. It's also a place name (Dodge City).
Archie definitely got off easy, but I think Dodge is better than Buster or Rowdie.

Dodge, at least in the US, has some historical usage and because of that it isn't that shocking to me. I don't know about in Australia. I do, however, really dislike Billy instead of William. I think Dodge William would have been quite handsome.
Buster and Rowdie are dumb. Archie is for kids.
