I don't know anything about St. Jerome, but I like the name itself a lot. It's not really my style, but it's one of those names I appreciate.
It's weird how it's an instantly recognizable name to me (and gives a similar familiarity as Jason and James, but doesn't have the same blah quality) but I've never met anyone who bears it.
It has a gentle, charming vibe to it without being fragile. Just an overall sweet name.
