Islie & Ismie
How do you feel about the names Islie and Ismie. Not together, just as individuals.

Islie is annoyingly spelled because it looks to me like "is lie"
Is Islie a cute little ... island?
Whatever, it's not as bad as Ismie, it's just another spelling of Isley / Eilidh etc.
Ismie is bad because "IS ME" ... "Ismie is me." That would be a no fun name to bear. And it is "ism"-y. And it seems like a cloying distortion of Esmee.

I'm baffled, actually. Would Islie be a nn for Isla, and therefore sound like Eyelie? Surely it must be; but then Ismie resembles Esme if it resembles anything, and would get either a Z or a S sound - Izmie or Issmie. Short answer: to bafflement add hostility.

I knew an Isley (f), I really liked it!! It was pronounced EYE-lee.I don't know whether to pronounce Ismie IS-me or EYE-me. I don't like it as much as Isley / Islie.

How are they pronounced?I don't think I like them.

If they're pronounced how I think they are, they're not for me. Islie looks too close to the Kylie, Kaylie type trend names for my taste. Ismie doesn't look much like a word to me.

I like them - as I find each name to be interesting and new; I am from the US, if this helps at all.

They're weird, even separately.
